Help Me Choose My Recipe!
Like Beth, I'm including a recipe with my novella, A Miracle for Miriam, in An Amish Christmas. I had a recipe in mind, but I thought it might be fun to let our readers decide which one I should include. Please vote by leaving a comment here on the blog, and I'll incorporate the one with the most votes into the story. Thanks for playing!
~Kathleen~
Recipes!
Choice #1- Whoopie Pies (a chocolate cookie sandwich with a layer of cream filling)
Choice #2- Shoestring Apple Pie (a very simple apple pie recipe)
Choice #3- Baked Apples with Butterscotch Sauce (kind of self-explanatory)
Choice #4- Graham Cracker Pudding (this seems to be a popular dessert, as I have several different variations in my cookbook)

they all sound interesting but I will vote for # 3

I personally find the Shoestring Apple Pie interesting. You say it is simple and that gets an extra vote from me - so yes, Shoestring Applie Pie it is!

They all sound delicious, but i'm going to vote for #2 Shoestring Apple Pie. You say it is simple and that alone will have people willing to try it.

I am voting for the shoestring pie. I think it could be converted using sweetner.

Although all of the recipes sound great, I would vote for the Shoestring Apple Pie. I have recipes for Whoopie Pies and the pie recipe sounds very appealing (and hopefully, easy!). I love the Amish books including the fantastic recipes. Keep them coming. Thank you .

Difficult to select one. However, I vote for #2. Apples in anything makes the end product so good.

I did not see where my first vote went so I must have done something wrong. I too have the recipes for two of the recipes but not for Shoestring Apple Pie so I change my vote (first must be in cyber space some where!) to Shoe String Apple Pie.

Though the name "Whoopie Pie" intrigues me (and I love chocolate), the Shoestring Apple Pie gets my vote!

Definitely Shoestring Apple Pie. I love making apple pie, but it can be time-consuming. Would love a simpler one! And the recipe just sounds like it fits an Amish story!

Shoestring apple pie. I care for a disabled individual who can't eat a lot of sugar. I made an apple pie and decreased the sugar to 1/2 cup and added 3 Tablespoons of cinnamon. Next time, I'm going to decrease the sugar to 1/4 a cup and add 4 tablespoons of cinnamon. The cinnamon is like a natural and healthy sweetener.

My choice for a recipe would be the Shoestring Apple Pie. It sounds interesting, and with the economy the way it is, I think it would be a big hit with everyone trying to save pennies. Can't wait for your book to arrive on store shelves. God bless you and happy baking. Sincerely Dee Ackerman Brick NJ
