My New Cover and Recipe Winner!
I
I'm thrilled to unveil the cover of A Man of His Word, the first book in my Hearts of Middlefield series. The art department at Thomas Nelson did an amazing job portraying the main storyline of the book, and I love the colors and peacefulness of the background. Here is a short blurb:
I'd also like to announce the winner of the recipe contest. Drum roll please: Shoestring Apple Pie! Thank you to everyone who voted. The response was so great that I decided to post the other three recipes on Amish Hearts. This week's recipe is Whoopie Pies. In my Amish cookbook there are no baking directions for the cookies, so I'm putting those in on my own. The filling directions come directly from the cookbook, which is A Taste of Home from the Schlabach Family. I would love to hear from anyone who makes these cookies--let me know how they turn out!

Hi Kathleen!
I am so excited to hear that another author is putting out more amish fiction! I am very familiar with Amy and Beth. Do you plan to release a preview of the first few chapters of the book? The plot sounds very interesting.
