A Big Week for Plain Pursuit!

This has been an exciting week.  Plain Pursuit, book #2 in the Daughters of the Promise series, was featured in Romantic Times Magazine.  It was also mentioned in an article on the front page of The Tennessean, and it got a mention in Publishers Weekly.  We're only about three weeks from the release date!

Also, if you would like to know how and why I write Amish fiction and a little bit more about me, there is an audio interview posted at Christian Book Distributors.  I'm warning you now...I'm not 'smooth' like some of the other authors out there. This is a from-the-hip, heartfelt interview. I wanted readers to really get a feel for why these books are so important to me (plus, I was really nervous).

Also, a fabulous author - Lena Nelson Dooley - interviewed me on her blog Sunday at  Lena Nelson Dooley Blogspot.  Lena always asks some really cool questions.  Check it out if you have time!

I also attended the Christian Book Expo in Dallas this past weekend.  Great fun and a wonderful opportunity to visit authors from all over the place!  There were over 200 in attendance at the expo.  Here's a couple of pics from the event:

This is Katie, my publicist.  Isn't she darling?

This is my 'table mate' author Golden Keyes Parsons.  What a dear lady!

And this is one of my 'bestest' friends, aspiring romantic suspense writer Carol Voelkel.  Carol has two agents and four editors interested in her work!  Yay!  It's only a matter of time before she becomes a published author!

So, there's been a lot going on as the release date for Plain Pursuit draws hear.  Plain Pursuit can be read as a stand-alone novel, but the characters in book #1, Plain Perfect, carry on in Plain Pursuit, plus I introduce two new main characters.  If any of you haven't read Plain Perfect, I just happen to have some ARCs (advanced reader copies) left.  I'm giving away two on this blog (just leave a comment for a chance to win) and I'm giving away two on my personal blog at Beth Wiseman Blog, just leave a comment there as well.  I will draw four winners next Monday!  These are not 'final' copies of Plain Perfect, but instead they are copies normally sent to review sources.  These will be signed to whoever you choose.

I'm so proud and blessed to be co-authoring this blog with Kathy, Barbara, and Amy!  Thank you SO much for checking in!

Many blessings, Beth

I love the amish books and have read quite a few of them, I would love to be able to go to Pa and just see their plain lives, the way they live is just like the way I grew up, but my parents just didn'nt have money for all the fancy things. We had no electicity, no phone, no TV, no car etc, time did get better and now in my life I even have 4 TV and a dishwasher, the whole works, even 2 trucks. May God bless all of you in your writting careers, I wish I had that talent, but I CAN READ.

I even found out I have known an Amish friend since 1999 as a prayer partner but never knew she was Amish.
    God Bless and annoint you.
