A Fun Book Signing!

Wow!  We had 11 inches of rain where I live in Texas this past Friday and Saturday.  Many happy farmers here!  But, I had a scheduled book signing two hours away on Saturday.  So, with tornado warnings and thunderstorms, my wonderful husband navigated his way through flood waters to get us there.  Needless to say, there were not a whole lot of people getting out and about in the weather, but the ones who showed up at the book signing bought a book!  And it was great fun.  The employees went all out - Amish cookies, lemonade, fresh roses, and a sitting area for visitors.  I really appreciate the kindness they showed me at The Sonshine Book and Gift Shop in Lake Jackson.

They also gave me this very cool Amish print.

Special thanks to everyone at Sonshine Book and Gift Shop!

Hope everyone has a great week!

Glad you survived the deluge! Aren't you glad you weren't going to the signing in an Amish buggy?! LOL Love the pic and the painting!

San Antonio isn't out of the question!  I imagine I'll get there some day, since it's only an hour from my house.  I love to go to the Riverwalk!  If you have a favorite bookstore, ask them if they would like to host a signing, and tell them I'm only an hour away.  I would do it!

Hope your family did okay during the bad weather in Houston.  My mom lives there too!

I just finished reading Plain Pursuit. What a great book!! My problem is.... once I start reading a good book, I do nothing else!! This book was so well written that I just had to keep at it until I was done! I told my husband that it was all Beth Wiseman's fault!! Thank you for sharing your gift of writing.
