Keeping it Authentic!

An Amish Christmas will release in August, followed by An Amish Gathering in the fall or early 2010.  Each of these books, to be released in hardcover, will feature three novellas written by Barbara, Kathy, and me.  We have had a blast writing these stories since we are incorporating cross-over characters within each collection.

I am fortunate to have connections in Lancaster County who help me keep the stories authentic, and recently a friend of mine went on a little field trip for me.  In both of my stories included in An Amish Christmas and An Amish Gathering, my couples travel to a restaurant in Paradise, Pennsylvania to have supper.  The restaurant is called Paradiso and is popular with the Amish.  I wanted to give a good description in the books, so my friend took pics for me.

So, as you read A Choice to Forgive in An Amish Christmas and A Change of Heart in An Amish Gathering, you'll notice Paradiso and can get a visual of what the place really looks like.

The menu.  Check out what it states in the lower
left corner.  I chuckled when I saw this!

I leave in less than two weeks for Pennsylvania.
I'm planning to check out Paradiso while I'm there!

Hope everyone had a fabulous Mother's Day!  Enjoy your week!

We travel to Amish Country, PA about three times a year - more if we get a chance, and I've not heard of this Paradiso Restaurant. We love the buffets and all but get tired of them and this looks like a good respite from the chicken, noodles, etc. we love so much. Would you let me know where it is? It sounds like a place we can add to our list of favorite places to eat.

I am anxiously awaiting your new book!
    God's Blessings!
