Beth Wiseman’s Masterpiece: Plain Promise

Today our plan is to put our pool (yes, summer is half over!), and I also need to pack for my trip to ICRS!  I'm super excited about going to ICRS for the first time! I've never been to Denver before. I'll also get to see my editor and other writer friends. I'm also doing a book signing on Tuesday at 10:30.  Next week I’ll fill you in on my adventures at ICRS.

I also would like to share a review with you.  I was honored when Beth asked me to endorse her upcoming book, Plain Promise.

Plain Promise is the third in Beth’s Daughters of Promise Series.  Here is the blurb that is featured on Christianbooks.com:

"Experience "love made new" in this best-selling Amish series. Sadie Fisher wonders if she’ll ever find true love again after the death of her husband. When wealthy Englischer Kade Saunders rents her guest cottage for a month, Sadie’s world is turned upside-down.

"Kade has a five-year old autistic son who is unexpectedly left in his permanent care. As Sadie's feelings for the child grow, so do her feelings for Kade. But is this man suitable for anything more than friendship?"

Plain Promise
is Beth Wiseman's masterpiece.  While I loved Plain Perfect and Plain Pursuit, this book takes the cake.  I started reading it and simply could not put it down.

This heart-warming novel brings readers hope and paints a beautiful, authentic portrait of Lancaster County, Pennsylvania.

Her characters are so real that they feel like old friends.  I enjoyed seeing Lillian, Jonas, Samuel, Carley, and Noah, characters from Books #1 and #2 again.  The book made me laugh many times and also brought tears to my eyes.

I highly recommend this story.  Once you open the book, you won't put it down until you've reached the last page.

Amy, thanks for the really nice review of Beth's Plain Promise. I have it on advance order and can't wait for it to come out! Also, I asked our Prayer Group at Nada, TX to add your husband Joe to the prayer list for a successful kidney transplant. Sure hope the potential donor tests out as a match!

      Dear Cathy,

You'll love Plain Promise!!  I'm so glad that you pre-ordered it.  Thank you SO MUCH for adding Joe to your Prayer Group in TX!  We appreciate the prayers and need them.  Joe has good and bad days.  Unfortunately, today was a bad day.  Thank you for praying for him.  Our donor who was tested was not a match.  It was heart-breaking.  Thank you for asking!
      Most sincerely,
      Amy

    Amy,

If you have not been to Denver before, then you may not know that you will want to pack a light sweater or jacket. It can get mighty cool in the evening and morning. I am very warm natured and have asthma, so warm weather and I do not get along, but depite being in higher elevation I was able to breath better with the cooler air. Have fun and a safe trip. Keeping Joe in our prayers. Oh, if you get a chance to sightsee, visit the Denver mint. Was most educational.
