A Few Tidbits

This week I finished writing An Honest Love, Book 2 in my Hearts of Middlefield series. An Honest Love features two more Byler siblings: Lukas and Elisabeth. It will be out in March, but its available for preorder now at Christianbook and Amazon. Here's a picture of the cover--it will change somewhat, but I really like it.

Speaking of covers, I found out a fun fact last week about the models on the cover of A Man of His Word--they're married! I thought they made a really cute couple on the cover, so its really neat to find out they're a real-life couple too.

Yesterday on my blog I asked for people to comment about their favorite game--board, card, or online. My number one favorite game is Dutch Blitz. Developed in PA Dutch Country, it's Amish themed; there are hand drawn pictures of Amish boys and girls on the cards. The game is a cross between Solitaire and Speed and is "gut" fun. I love it. Oddly enough, I started playing it over a decade ago, before I became interested in the Amish. What are your favorite games?

'Til next time,
Kathleen

Favorite Game, I just learned a new one,
Chicken Foot played with dominoes. It is fun and a game for 2 or more players. At my friends family reunion game playing is a must they had 10 playing this game and the dominoes went to 15!! I didn't know they made them that high. The idea is to go out and the one with the least amount of points wins. Not as easy as it sounds. Just like Golf

I just recently purchased a new set of Dutch Blitz. I played it years ago with my mom. Now, I have introduced it to my husband- had to force him to play it- but it is easy and a quick exciting paced game. The little Amish people on the cards are so adorable.
