One Child from An Amish Christmas

Hi readers!

Continuing in the theme of introducing readers to the first chapter of our novellas in An Amish Christmas (Beth and Kathy did theirs earlier), I'm including the first chapter of One Child to readers. We wrote the novellas with interconnecting characters for the collection and had such of fun doing it.

You probably know by now that An Amish Christmas will be out soon -- in stores in September and available for pre-order now. We'll be announcing contests to win a copy of the book soon. Be sure to drop by our blog often to see the details.

I still get a shiver when I remember how the story came to me ... I truly feel it was a gift from God. I fell in love with my characters who became so real to me and felt joy and pain when they did. I hope you will enjoy their story.

'Til next week,

Barbara

      Hi Karla,

Thank you so much for saying you liked the first chapter. I hope the rest of the novella lives up to such kind words. I don't know the exact date in September. I'll ask my editor and e-mail you on Monday.

      Thanks again!

      Blessings,

      Barbara

    Barbara,
Of course, you've got us really hooked with the end of chapter one that also contains an interesting array of characters and events and insights. See p 5 or 6(?) with Saarah with two a's together before the statement: That's what friends are for. (English teachers....)

    Hi Judith,

What  wonderful comments. Thank you so much.

A mistake? Ouch! No matter how much you proof -- and others proof behind you -- nothing's ever perfect! So that's what friends are for ... and English teachers, huh? : )

    Blessings,

    Barbara
