All of the characters in each book become favorites. I find it hard to pick one over another because it takes all the characters to make the books what they are. It is like a family is not a family with everyone in having a special part.

You know, I really like the character of David. From the beginning, you could see what a great job Samuel did in his upbringing. He is growing up to be such a gentle, fine young man. I hope Beth lets up learn more about him in future books.

Samuel and Lilian's love story and their struggles with their son's health issues dealing with an ex-Amish Dr. Shunning is so very harsh.

I'm not entering the contest but I can't resist naming my favorite character from Beth's books. It's definitely Grandpa Jonas--he's so quirky and fun, and really cares for his family. You've created a terrific character in him, Beth!

The collection of stories in An Amish Christmas sounds so perfect for reading as the fall afternoons shift into a winter gear. I look forward to them!

It is hard to choose just one character but if I had to choose it would have to be Samuel. He is a devoted father and widow who finds it hard to be having feelings for someone who isn't Plain. But then he turns to the Lord for his guidance and accepts his feelings when Lillian becomes a commited young Amish woman. I love your books, Beth! Please enter me in the contest!

Well, I love them all, too. Oh my gosh... I would have to say Samuel. He is bringing up David on his own for some time. He showed Lillian her way to the Amish beliefs. He kept David on the straight & narrow. His faith never waivered, even after his wife died. He is a generous, kind soul. He was already helping Lillian's grandparents out before ever meeting Lillian. He tried to fight his feelings for Lillian, but, alas... In the 2nd book, he is trying so hard to stand by the rules, even though David is gravely ill. He tries to hold true to the shunning of Noah, but in the end, I think he finally sees why Noah left & the lengths that Noah would go to for his family, even though he is not welcome. It shows that even in the strictest of ways, there is room for forgiveness & love. They are all such wonderful characters.

I think Noah is my favorite, because he fights so hard to get David the medical care he needs, despite the pain of the shunning.

I really liked Lillian because she wanted a better life away from everything. I hope I will win because I love the Amish books and their culture.

    Thanks,

I'd have to say Samuel because he's raising David on his own. That is a hard job to do and I think ecspecially for a man.

I have to say that I love all of the characters for different reasons...they each have a part to fill and you did a wonderful job with each one. My favorite would have to be Jonas...such a caring soul, and his reference to Lillian as "Lilly" makes your heart melt...he truly shows her unconditional love.

Oh my! It's so hard to pick just one . Well, ONE of my favorites is Lillian. She is so determined to learn the way of the Amish life and she tries so hard to get it right. You can tell it's really in her heart to change.
