Happy October!

Hi everyone!

I hope you’re enjoying your weekend!  This week has been pretty uneventful at our house, but that’s fine with me.  It’s fun to have quiet every once in a while.

This is my favorite time of year.  I love the cooler weather, and I love Halloween!  My boys are all keyed up about their costumes, and we plan to put out our decorations tomorrow.

Thank you to all of you who participated in my contest on my personal blog.  I announced the winners last night.

As many of your know, my husband is awaiting a second kidney transplant.  He’s been on dialysis for 15 months now.  Several folks have been tested, but no one has been a match.  He’s on two lists for a cadaveric kidney, and we’re registered in a program where I’ll give a kidney in exchange for one for him.

He’s had some good days lately, but today he was completely wiped out after dialysis.  It’s difficult to watch him suffer when I know there’s nothing I can do for him.  I wish I had been a match, but it wasn’t meant to be.

Tonight I’d like to ask you to pray that we’ll find a match for Joe soon.  I appreciate all of your prayers.

Enjoy the rest of your weekend!

Sincerely,

Amy

Amy - will say a prayer for your husband that a kidney is found soon. Our Pastor's wife was also on a kidney waiting list, and this past summer just as they were ready to give up hope - she got a kidney. She is doing wonderful now!

    Amy,
My prayers for Joe are with you both, and God delivers as He's promised, never forsaking or not caring. You say you can't do anything - maybe you mean physically as you're willing and able to donate a kidney. Of course, I know you know you can pray also and have been, I'm sure, and you can, must continue to walk in faith knowing He won't give you mor than you both can bear. Take care and stay in Him - in His love, Judy

Thank you, Judith!  You're right -- I meant that I couldn't do anything physically for Joe. I wish I could be his donor.  But, yes, I do pray for him daily, often more than once, and I thank you for your thoughts for prayers.
      Love,
      Amy

Ms Amt, The power of prayer is the best thing to do. I have found the God answers prayers in 4 ways.
No not yet, No because I Love you to much, Yes,I never thought you would ask and Yes because you believed when the world said no. Keep the faith and we will keep praying. God is with you both. Be still and listen for his voice.
    God's Blessings,
    Erin O.
