Busy, Busy, Busy!

Well, there have probably been busier weeks in my life but I surely cannot remember when any have been busier than this one.

I will be so glad to see the end of Friday!

A few quick notes and this will be a short entry for sure!

An Amish Christmas continues to do very well. Thank you to all our readers who picked up one or more copies! It's #6 this week on the CBD bestseller list ahead of some big names in the business. Beth sent us e-mails this week after she heard how well the book is doing in Canada. The three of us were thrilled, of course. If you bought a copy of the book and liked it, please think about writing a review somewhere. Thanks!

I turned in the first book of the new three book Amish series to Barbara Scott, my wonderful new editor at Abingdon Press. I'm really excited by her enthusiasm for the series and the great titles the title committee gave the project. I don't usually have titles changed but when they were suggested, I was happy, happy, happy. The books have titles drawn from my favorite quote from Ecclesiastes and the first is A Time to Love ... Barbara and her team saw how I used Ecclesiastes in the first book. The series title is Quilts of Lancaster County and quilts will figure a lot in the books...

Am also working on a newspaper article (along with Beth and Kathy) to circulate around Christmas about the holiday season in Lancaster County ... and am sure there's a few more things I've forgotten that I have to do.

Have a great weekend, everyone!

Blessings,

Barbara

Hey Barbara, congrats with the new book series. Where will the newspaper article come out at? Sounds interesting.

    Hi Melissa,

We're writing the article for the publicist for Thomas Nelson, the publisher of An Amish Christmas. They'll send it out to newspapers around the country -- no idea which ones. Maybe we can run it on AmishHearts.com later. I'll ask.

Thanks for reading and writing today.

    Barbara
