Happy Almost Thanksgiving!

Hi everyone!

Congratulations to Beth, Barbara and Kathy on the release of An Amish Gathering!  I can’t wait to get a copy and read it!

Today I had a book signing at the Borders in Northlake Mall in Charlotte.  I had a great time and was excited to see some of my friends from Carolina Romance Writers.  Thanks to everyone who came out today!

Here’s a photo of me at the table.  Check out this fabulous Christmas tree next to me!  Is that pink or what?  Pink is my favorite color, and my mom and I were joking that I should buy the tree.

It’s hard to believe that the year is almost over!  This week my mother-in-law is coming to visit for Thanksgiving.  We’re going to eat at my house and then visit my father in the nursing home.  Black Friday is my birthday and I hope to spend a quiet day at home and get some writing done.

What are your plans for Thanksgiving this year?  Do you shop on Black Friday?

Next Saturday I have a book signing planned at As They Grow Consignment in Indian Trail. Please join me!

Enjoy your week! Happy Thanksgiving!

‘Til next time,

Amy

    Amy,
We (my husband, my older sister, and myself) always go to eat at Biltmore Hotel in OKC. My mom, my stepfather and my niece were going to go as well but my stepfather has PAD (Peripheral Artery Disease) and is in a lot of pain. So, after we eat, we (my sister and myself) are going to fix them a meal and take it to them. My mom told my sister "but I won't be able to eat with my girls". She is 85 and she just likes to spend every minute with her girls, hehe. But, I am sure we will have a pretty good Thanksgiving though. Hope everyone else does also.

What is Black Friday? We do not have this in Canada. Our Thanksgiving was in October and we do not celebrate it near as grandly as you Americans do!! Have a great day with your family.

      Hi Karla!

Black Friday is the day after Thanksgiving -- the biggest shopping day of the year.  It's called "black Friday" because it's always a Friday and it's a day that retailers hope that they'll get back in the "black" for sales and make up for a bad year.

      Have a nice week!
      Blessings,
      Amy

    Hi Amy,
Oh that's not far from me at all. I hope to see you there. My name is Denise Spencer and I have Stage IV lung cancer; small lady with grey hair. Look for me and I pray that nothing comes up so I can meet you. I have my book Amish Gathering ordered.
God Bless, from Denise in NC
