Happy Belated Thanksgiving!
I hope you all had a nice Thanksgiving! Mine was very nice. My mother-in-law is visiting from Virginia Beach. We had a nice dinner with her, my mother, and also my father who visited us from the nursing home. We enjoyed a delicious turkey, stuffing, green bean casserole, rolls, and birthday cake for dessert. My birthday was actually yesterday (Black Friday – how appropriate!), but we celebrated a day early with my father.
Today I had a book signing at As They Grow Children’s Consignment. Thank you to my friends who stopped by, especially my dear friend Lori! I had a wonderful time chatting with Becky, the owner of As They Grow. If you live in the Indian Trail, NC, area, please stop by to see Becky and do some holiday shopping! Her store is full of great deals on children’s toys and clothes. You’ll also find some nice ladies’ clothes there and my books!
This week I’ve been working hard on my next Amish book, which is a Christmas story. I’ve been off from my day job since Wednesday and have written nearly 10,000 words. I’m excited about this book. It’s due to my editor January 1, and I hope to have the draft done in the next couple of weeks. I’m also expecting my line edits for book #2, A Promise of Hope, to arrive in the mail any day now.
Congratulations to Beth, Kathy, and Barbara! An Amish Christmas has made the CBA best-seller list for December!

I am so thankful for authors of Amish Authors- and YOU are one of my favourites, along with all the authors on this blog. When I received your free book, the draft copy, I was so excited. Since I have read it, it has travelled to Korea, with my sister in law, when she went to visit her son. She had a 2 day trip, due to weather problems and for a 70 year old, it was very trying, but she read your book, and said it saved her worrying, etc. I can hardly wait for your new novel!! It will be on my wish list shortly.
