Much Thanks...and Another Contest!

First of all...thanks to Kathy for switching days with me.  She posted this past Monday in my place so that I could visit my friend's son, Brian, in the hospital.  Thanks SO much for all the prayers.  I visited Brian again today, and he is still critical.  However, when he gets better, he will meet his son - Braiden - who was born yesterday afternoon.  Tiny, but healthy.  Mommy and baby are great, but please keep those prayers coming for Brian!  Several people have emailed me privately asking about Brian.  If you would like to keep up with Brian's progress or offer prayers for him and the family, you can go to www.carepages.com and the page is briancarter (no space).

Secondly - I'm thrilled that both An Amish Christmas and Plain Promise are on the ECPA Bestseller List this month!  Just in time for Christmas.  And An Amish Christmas and An Amish Gathering have been getting some great media coverage lately.  Lena Nelson Dooley interviewed Barbara, Kathy, and I recently.  Check it out at A Christian Writer's World - Characters Who Grip Your Heart

Now, for the contest... I had a surprise in the mail yesterday.  Several boxed gift sets of the Daughters of the Promise series (books 1, 2, and 3) arrived!  So, here's a chance to give the Daughters of the Promise series as a Christmas Present.  Just post a comment, and next week I'll randomly draw a winner.

Hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving!  It's supposed to snow in my part of Texas on Friday and Saturday!  Unbelievable.  Hee - hee....we get so excited when that happens.  Businesses close, schools close...and pretty much everything just shuts down.  We're clueless how to drive in snow.

Sorry about the blurry pic!  But here it is - books 1, 2, and 3 of the Daughters of the Promise series in a boxed gift set!

Leave a comment for a chance to win!

I will definitely keep praying for your friend's son. Please enter me in your contest. I have these books but would love to give them to my sister in law for Christmas. It would be VERY special, since we are taking her with us to Paradise next Sept. for her 70th birthday ( and her 5 children are footing the bill for her Bed and Breakfast - for her gift).

Oh, Beth, that is such great news that Brian's baby has arrived safely and Mom and baby are doing okay! I've been praying for all of them each day and was wondering how things were going. Will keep praying for all of them, and especially that Brian has a speedy recovery and gets to meet his little son very soon! Praying for Renee, too, to have the strength and wisdom to get through all this! Of course, I'm always praying for you and Amy, Kathy, and Barbara, and sure hope Barbara is doing okay after her recent hospital stay. Congratulations on the continued great reviews for your writing and Amy, Kathy, and Barbara!

    Hi Beth,
What an awesome gift! Would I be tempted to keep it for myself???

My friends, Beverly & Jim, were ones whose prayer request got posted on the bridge. That meant so much to them. I'm going to share Brian's site with them. More prayers are welcome, I'm sure.

Beth, thanks for the web address for the Care Pages that gives updates on Brian's condition. I checked it out yesterday and recommend it to anyone who is wanting to see how this young man is doing. It is free, though you have to register and enter a password to join, but they even send you an e-mail when there is a new update! It is well worth the effort to follow this young man and his family and keep them lifted up in prayer! There is even a photo of this young couple and Baby Braiden, so, Amish readers, please check it out and keep those prayers coming for this young family! Thanks!
