It's Coming!

It's coming!

My new series, that is.

This week my wonderful new editor at Abingdon Press sent me a proof of the cover for A Time to Love, the first in a three book Amish series out next fall! It's a gorgeous cover, don't you think?

The holiday rush is making time speed by so fast. Everyone I know is complaining that time seems to have speeded up. The college where I teach part-time is already out and we're all madly finishing up our grades. My Christmas preparations? Well, the tree isn't up yet ...I hope to grab a friend to help do it this afternoon -- ssh, don't warn her! It  always goes up just after Thanksgiving -- although I have a really good excuse since I was in the hospital for a brief time. I confess that I haven't bought a single present yet and I usually have nearly all of them tucked away by now. Yikes! I have the list, just no time yet.

And I haven't eaten a single Christmas cookie yet. Something's very wrong with that.

Now, to get to the contest:  Sandra Kaczanowcke is the winner of an autographed copy of An Amish Gathering. Thanks for entering, Sandra. Send me a comment with your address (I won't publish it!).

If you're in the Sarasota, Florida, area on Saturday (Dec. 12), stop by Yoder's Restaurant and Gift Shop. They're hosting a book signing for me from 1 to 3 p.m. You know you deserve a slice of their pie and a few minutes to sit down on a Saturday. Then browse for some gifts and an autographed copy or two of my books for holiday presents. Hope to see you there!

Blessings,

Barbara

Hi Barbara! You don't have to publish this comment, but I was wondering if there is an influencer's list for this book? I would love to review it when it comes out and post it on my blog!

Blessings and can't wait for it to release!

Hey, I do think the cover is beautiful; oh, the quilt, and the young lady are so beautiful an attraction to read within...
Hope you're feeling better (I know from personal experience you have to be after finishing the college semester today and hopefully getting the tree up.
Sorry I can't be near Sarasota or at Yoder's tomorrow, though I hope you have a winderful day over there, meet wonderful people, and have success with every part of your books' endeavors --
    Love,
    Judy

Don't worry about cookies - you'll get them done sooner or later - before you NEED them! Enjoyed the article.

Congratulatons Sandra! What a nice Christmastime surprise for you!
Barbara, the cover of your new series looks tantalizing indeed. I am already curious about it's content
You will be able to catch up on what you feel you are behind on...putting up your tree and shopping. Hey, it might be all the more fun after all. I say this to encourage both of us, for my tree is awaiting lights and adornment as well! In the week ahead I will begin shopping. As far as the cookies, well, I do have you beat there...only because a kind co-worker blessed us with a plate full, not due to any time I've spent in my own kitchen
Merry Christmas, and thank you for your dedication for granting so many such wonderful Amish reading pleasure.
