Deadlines and Scripture!
It’s been a crazy week at our house. I’ve finished my second draft of my new book, and I’m ready to hand it off to my three friends and my mom. My friends and mom critique and edit it for me before I turn it in to my editor.
This book is a new genre for me. It’s a youth adult book, and it’s been the biggest challenge of my writing career. I’ve learned a lot, and I hope I’ve grown as a writer.
Each new book is a test of faith for me, and I always learn more about myself while writing it. I’ve encountered scriptures that inspire me while writing this book. Here’s one of them:
Deuteronomy 31:6: Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the LORD your God goes with you; He will never leave you nor forsake you.
So, here’s my question for you – What are your favorite scriptures? Please leave a comment below with one or two.
Have a great weekend!
Blessings,
Amy

I love Ecclesiastes 3: To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven: A time to be born..." etc. My editor at Abingdon Press saw a mention of this in the first of three books I'm writing for her and gave them new titles from Ecclesiastes: A Time to Love, A Time for Peace, and A Time for Healing. Wow. Loved her titles!

Jeremiah 29:11 - For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.

Amy, one of my favorite scriptures is as follows:
Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come! 2 Corinthians 5:17.
There a lot of others I like too, but I just read this one during my devotional this morning and thought I'd share it with you.

My favorite is 1 Corinthians chapter 13, I guess if you want to know what it says, you will have to look it up.

That's a tough one! It depends on what's going on at the time.... But probably my most favorite one is "The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord, and He delights in his way. Though he fall; he shall not be utterly cast down; for the Lord upholds him with His hand." Psalm 37:23-24

My all time favorite scripture is:
" This is what the Lord asks of you; only this, To act justly, To love tenderly, and to walk humbly with your God"
Micah 6:8
And this is another:
" Happy the gentle: for they shall have the earth for their heritage "
Matthew 5:5
These two are synonymous, for me anyway, of the Amish philosophy of Gelassenheit.
Thanks,
