This and That

Thank you to everyone who wrote me that they loved the trailer Kathy created for my book coming out in August. My editor said I had some of the prettiest photos she'd seen on it (that's because I didn't take them!). A number of people wrote that they loved the music, created by Jimmie Daly, Kathy's brother. What a talented duo they are...and so generous to do this project for me. (If you haven't checked out the video, go to YouTube and in the search bar type    A Time to Love Barbara Cameron.

My part-time college classes ended today. I'll be grading papers and giving finals (and, I'm sure, disappointing grades) next week and then speeding down the deadline path with the second book in the Quilts of Lancaster County series.

A few weeks ago I hinted that I had good news I'd be announcing soon. Well, my editor has bought another three book Amish series from me to appear after the current three book series ends. I'm thrilled! More details on this as I get them.

Spring has been making itself known around the country and very much so in Florida. Everything's growing like crazy -- especially the pretty lavender weeds in my front yard. I put a big pot of my favorite flowers -- daffodils -- on the front porch. And pollen is everywhere. The allergy season is a few weeks or months in other states. It's all but two weeks a year here in Florida! But after the record low temperatures of winter, we're trying not to complain. It's nice to feel warmer temps!

I hope that you are enjoying Spring in your area and that you are taking the time to read a good book -- especially one by my fellow writers here on AmishHearts.com. Check out Beth's Plain Paradise, Kathy's An Honest Love, and Amy's A Promise of Hope, all out this month!

I'm curious -- what's your favorite thing about Spring?

'Til next week!

Barbara

Beautiful Spring! I like the azaleas blooming in my yard. There's pink around the Japanese Maple in the front yard and lots of white and shades of pink in the back yard. It's always sad when the blooms fade.

My favorite thing about spring is that it feels like God is waking the earth after a long dreary winter.

YEAH! So this is the good news---So happy for you and for all of us readers!
My favorite spring thing is being able to open up the windows and let the fresh air into the house after running the heat all winter.

I am SOOOOO excited about the new books!! What great news you have given us!! Good luck grading all those papers and finals!! On our vacation to Quebec City, I was reminded of God's wonderful creations- the Laurentian Mountains and unique countryside around the St. Lawrence River is truly magnificent!! How thankful I am for the warm weather and the crocuses and daffodils that are growing. God is good to not only take care of us- on our 12 hour drive, but on the beauty of the scenery.

Theres alot I like about spring, the grass turning green again, the trees beginning to bud with leaves and flowers, the beautiful spring flowers with their brilliant colors, but one of my favorite things is not seen, its heard. I love lying awake in the morning, right before dawn and just listening to the birds. There's something special about spring when the birds are really boisterous in the early hours of the morning. Its like they are waking up and welcoming spring themselves!

Thank you so much, everyone! Your good wishes mean a lot to me! I'm so looking forward to A Time to Love coming out and seeing what you think. I'll let you know when pre-orders can be made. I like ordering books by my favorite writers that way, too, to make sure I get the books I want the minute they come out without any hassle.
