Spring Cleaning

I'm embarrassed to admit it, but my house is a mess!  Well, not every room is a mess, but a few are.

We're doing spring cleaning at my house, and we've decided to turn our rarely used dining room into a play room for our two boys.  In less than a week, we sold our dining room set, and the hutch we've had since I was a baby is still for sale.  However, we moved the hutch into the garage, so the transformation can begin.

We bought an area rug to try to save the pretty hardwood floor from the scrapes of wheels and pounding of Star Wars figures and ships.  The cats are excited about the new rug.  Every time I walk through the room, a kitty is happily sitting on the new carpet.

The boys are thrilled about their new play room, but I'm wondering if it was a wise choice.  The dining room is the first room you see when you walk into house, and currently it looks as if a bomb went off!  Today we moved some toy boxes and drawer units into the new play room, and it was like Christmas in May as the boys rediscovered some lost toys.  Tomorrow after church we plan to finish moving toys and rearranging.  I'm hoping it all fits into the little room!

My bedroom is also a mess as my husband decided to start going through his clothes.  He was two large garage bags full of clothes to donate. I'm hoping to have my house back in order by tomorrow night.  Have you done any spring cleaning?

One last note -- If you're on Facebook, please join my fan page !  An exciting contest is coming soon!

Blessings,
Amy

Hi amy, I have some things that I now feel I need to get rid of and "downsize" some junk!! It's not really "junk" but it's just taking up space where I could make it look better in my house.. I also have some things in my garage I'm thinking about getting rid of.. I have some things of my late husbands that I know my son wants, and I've been waiting for him to come and get them, but, after 2 yrs. I guess it's still hard for him to come here, yet!!at least that's what he told me a few months ago..

Your post just sort of got me in the mood to do some of those things, like spring cleaning.
