Fun in Washington, DC!
Hi everyone!
Last weekend I was in Washington, D.C., for the American Library Association conference, and I had a wonderful time!
I spent time with Jacque Alberta, editor with ZonderKids; Alicia Mey, Marketing Director for Zondervan and Don Brown, Zondervan author. Saturday night after dinner we walked around for hours, enjoying the sights.
Sunday afternoon I signed 200 advanced copies of A Plain & Simple Christmas, which is coming out in August, and I even had the opportunity to meet a celebrity. Kathy Kinney, who played Mimi on the Drew Carey Show, stopped by at my signing!

Hi Amy! Well, didn't have a heart attack. Not sure what happened really. But they ran all the tests & stress tests there were. I came home on Saturday,but am still so tired... My Aunt Mil was admitted the same day as me, one floor up. She was dehydrated. They got her all fixed up & sent her home on Saturday, too. She passed away on Monday... I am so devastated. She was like my second Mom... Please pray for her, her daughters, grandkids & great grand kids. They are taking this very hard, as you can imagine.
I hope that one of these days we will be able to hook up. How is Hubby doing? My brother is doing good! He may fly in for the funeral, not sure, but he is coming up in a couple of weeks for his work. I hope you had a terrific turnout for your book signing!!! HUGS
