A Hand to Hold officially released!
Happy Wednesday, everyone! I want to wish Beth and Barbara a safe trip and a wonderful time in Indianapolis at ACFW! I know they'll enjoy themselves, the ACFW conference is a lot of fun. I also want to thank everyone who joined my first ever chat on Amish Living this past Monday. We had a blast, and I hope to do another one soon. It's great way to get to know each other--like sitting down having a cup of coffee with a friend. Thanks for the birthday wishes!
Yesterday, A Hand to Hold officially released! Thanks to everyone who preordered it, and its now available for purchase online and in your local bookstore and other stores. This is the final book in the Hearts of Middlefield series, and while I'm sad to say goodbye to this series, the characters will make "guest appearances" in future books.
This isn't the last you'll see of the Byler family!
I don't know about your neck of the woods, but it's still summer here in Arkansas. I'm eager for the cooler weather and the vibrant warm colors of fall. Have the leaves started changing where you live? If not, when do they typically change?
'Til next time,
Kathleen

I'm looking forward to reading A Hand To Hold, I'm sure I won't be able to put it down(just like the others).
Happy belated birthday!
Here in upstate NY, the leaves are starting to change and the weather is turning cool. It is only 61 degrees today.
God Bless!

Our leaves are changing in Colorado! The Aspens are turning yellow. This is one of my favorite things about living here!

Kathleen, So glad to know it will be only days before A HAND TO HOLD arrives in my mail. The various Amish series books leaves me on edge until the next one arrives. It is still hot here in the Dallas area and we do have changing colors in the fall. However, ours seem to change very late in the season, but it is so welcomed - God's beauty everywhere! Our weather is cooling - thank goodness! This past August has been one of the hottest since we moved to Texas in 1965. So we, like you, are somewhat anticipating cooler, more colorful weather trends in the days ahead. Millie W.

Just "falling in" to reply to your question and comment. As far as the leaves changing here in lowest Southern Indiana, the brilliant green of summer has merely turned drab with our severe lack of rain and intense heat. I expect the colors of fall to intensify as cooler temps take over. Presently, in our yard there is hardly a place to step without crunching on fallen leaves. Our short legged pup basically sweeps the ground with her fur, drawing leaves like a magnet, only for me to pick off her when she comes back inside
I have been to Arkansas once in the summer and that wasn't except to stop at a resting park on our traveling through. All I can say is it is the hottest place I have ever been in my life. Hopefully that's not so where you are in Arkansas! It was a humid deep heat that nearly took my breath and strength away just stepping out of the car. I said I would never complain of the heat back home in Indiana again. Congratulations on the release of A Hand to Hold
Missed the Amish Living chat....Hope to catch the next one
Thanks for all you do and enjoy the season ahead

Hi Kathleen,
No the leaves hasn't started turning here either.....not sure when, but I'm in no hurry....hate to see the cold weather come.....Love your books.....You were my first author of Amish books that I first read......It was a series, but I'd rather read a book and be done with it instead of the Series.....even tho I have one started now "The Sisters of the Quilt" I have read book 1 & 2 and will start on 3 soon.... I love the Amish books and don't even want to read anything else....Looking forward to reading another one of your books.....

Hi Kathleen, unfortunately I forgot about the chat on Mon. night until about 10:00p.m. and after, so I guess I was late or missed it either one. But, then when I got there, I couldn't find anywhere the chat was. Today when I was on Amish Living, there were others on chat, chatting and it came up on my pc. so, now I know where to go for the "next" time!! lol
The leaves have already started to turn here where I am in Michigan, as of last month!! But, they will be at about their peak in the first week of Oct.
I just got your book "A Summer Secret" today while I was up at Walmart.. I also found a couple of other new books there today. I will be looking for "A Hand To Hold" as soon as it gets in our stores here.
Blessings to you and Have a good evening.

Kathleen,
I live in Oklahoma and I am like you, I am so ready for the cool fall weather. We usually don't see many leaves that turn until in October, around the middle to the end of the month. But I am ready. Am glad to hear that your book is out now. YEA!!!!!

Congrats on the release of A Hand to Hold. Can't wait to read it. I live in South Mississippi and unfortunately we do not have much color change in our leaves but my husband and I certainly enjoy going to the Smokies to enjoy the color there. Would enjoy love to go to Amish country but that is quite a distance from here.
God bless as you continue to write these wonderful Amish books.
