Feedback on Lilly's Wedding Quilt
A great pleasure this month has been the incredible book discussion that Amish Living. com hosted on Lilly's Wedding Quilt. I thought I would share some of the feedback highlights from the novel...in case you're still considering whether to read!
"The resounding message (of the novel) is that GOD has a plan for us. Lilly says it in the end--"Perfect Plan God always had for me--my love my treasure." This is so true. Most of the Amish Fiction novels also have this wonderful reminder to all of us. Sometimes, we are so involved in the circumstances in our lives that we forget that God does have a plan for each and everyone of us. I thank Kelly for placing this reminder in her novel.

I also like the message of Marriage and Family. Nobody is born married. It is something that you have to work at daily. This was evidenced in Jacob's and Lily's relationship. It is a true blessing from God that we should not take for granted.
The quilt that Jacob and Seth worked on for Lilly was a true representation that his marriage was real--it was a piecing together of different kinds of squares and all kinds of love which in the end was a celebration of their marriage. This was truly beautiful and so heartfelt.
Also, the reminder that the family "the place of true treasure." p. 267 How wonderfully stated and how true it is."
Thank you to Carole who led the discussion and for all who joined in!
Peace,
Kelly

Kelly,
I just had to write. I love your books. I just wanted everyone to know that me and my husband just celebrated our 40th Wedding Anniversary. Yes, it takes a lot of work but it is definitely worth it. I believe I love John (my husband) more today than the day I walked down the aisle if that is possible. God is always working with us and we just have to stop and listen to what he has to tell us. Yes, I give a lot but so does he. In fact, the other day, he told me "what is wrong, I know you". Oh, my gosh, I love this man that God gave me.
Thank you,
Debbie

I have no comment on this book as the library does not have any of Kelly Long's
novel's. I do enjoy reading Amish Novel's. I've read all Beverly Lewis,Barbara Brunstetter, Gayle Roper and
Jerry S.Eicher novel's. I don't have the income to buy any book's so, I check them
out at the library. They have been able to purchuse some with their funding.
