Prayers for Amy and Joe Clipston!

Hello, and Happy Monday!

Tomorrow is a big day for Author Amy Clipston and her husband Joe.  After years of waiting, Joe is finally going to get a new kidney!  It's a couples swap.  Amy will be giving one of her kidneys to a woman whose husband will be giving Joe a kidney.  It's a true blessing!  If all goes well (and we are praying it will!!), then both Joe and the wife of the other man will be dialysis free!

I met Amy several years ago through our mutual agent.  It was a simple introduction that led to a wonderful friendship, and as it turned out, I was in the middle of working on Plain Pursuit.  For those who haven't read Plain Pursuit, there is a kidney transplant in the book.  I was desperate for some hands-on experience to incorporate into the  story.  Both Amy and Joe graciously offered to help me since Joe had already had a kidney transplant.  God certainly puts people in our paths for a reason!  (The kidney Joe received from his brother failed several years ago, thus the need for another one)

Years later, my best friend's son was hit by a drunk driver, and he has needed a kidney for about a year now.  Just recently, a donor has stepped forward for him and is going through the third round of testing to give him a kidney.

Miracles abound!

Please keep Joe, Amy, and the other couple in your prayers tomorrow.  This has been a long time coming for Amy and Joe, and a new kidney will change Joe's quality of life tremendously!!

SENDING YOU GIANT HUGS, LOVE, AND PRAYERS AMY AND JOE!!!  xoxo

Hope you all have a great week!

Clipston family is about to get a new lease on life. No longer will life be planned around dialysis. Prayers going out. This is such a good thing where families can help other families or pass it on forward, where I have seen as many as 3 families connected in the kidney transplants.

Keeping Joe and Amy in my prayers. I am a retired dialysis nurse and know how hard dialysis is for a person. The waiting list for kidneys and other organs is too long.
