Book news!

I have some exciting things to share about my upcoming books, but first I wanted to say congratulations to Beth--Plain Paradise won the Inspirational Readers Choice Award! Yay! Wonderful news for her and for Amish fiction- she won in the Women's Fiction Category.

This week I finished Hide and Secret--its off to the printers! It's the third book in the Mysteries of Middlefield series. The book is available for pre-order on Amazon. Click on the link for more information, and to see the beautiful cover. This is my favorite cover so far in the series. I wish I could upload it to this post but I've been having trouble uploading pictures for some reason. Here's a synopsis of the story:

Anna Mae Shetler is a tomboy who loves nothing more than exploring the woods with her two best friends, Amos and Jeremiah. During a game of hide and seek they stumble upon a mystery that will threaten to tear apart their friendship, and-as they soon discover-it's a mystery that caused a rift in their families decades earlier.

In other book news, the first book of the Middlefield Family series, Treasuring Emma, releases soon. I'm SO excited about this book and the series--and thrilled that early reviews have been positive: four stars from Romantic Times and a great review in Library Journal. Treasuring Emma releases in August, but is also available for pre-order. I'll have a few give aways in the future, as soon as next week. Here's more on Treasuring Emma, from a note I wrote for AuthorBuzz:

Treasuring Emma is a book that is dear to my heart. It was difficult to write, and it took me a long time to figure out what the story wanted to convey. Treasuring Emma is a romance, yet its more than that. Its about family relationships, coming to terms with past disappointments and finding freedom and peace, and realizing that not everything (and everyone) is what it seems. As with many of my novels, forgiveness is a strong theme, one that is universal. Forgiveness is a process. We're called to forgive others, but often times its not easy nor is it quickly done. I hope readers will identify with the characters and their stories and find themselves uplifted and entertained as they step into the world of Middlefield, OH.

There are a lot of exciting things planned for the launch of Treasuring Emma--but more on that next week.

'Til next time,

Kathleen

Treasuring Emma is the best yet!! I absolutely LOVED it. To see the review, go to www.karla-hanns-karla.blogspot.com, quiet quilter. I can hardly wait for Hide and Seek. In fact , I have it preordered. Wow, you are on a roll. God is working with you, even when you are ill. Is he telling us something about His power?

Is the Middlefield Family going to be a run on from Mysteries Of Middlefield? Or 2 separate series?

The characters will cross over from the first two books in the Mysteries of Middlefield. In Treasuring Emma, Adam and Emma are two new characters, but the Bylers make an appearance. The next two books in the Middlefield Family will feature Sawyer, Johnny, and Katherine from Summer Secret and Secrets Beneath. Hide and Secret, book three in the mystery series, introduces new characters. So there will be a combination of old characters and new.
