Reminder: Birthday chat at Amish Living
Don't forget about my birthday chat on Amish Living on Thursday, September 8, at 7 pm eastern time. There will be giveaways of Treasuring Emma and lots of fun chat. I did this last year and we had a blast. It was like sitting down with everyone and having coffee and visiting--such an Amish thing to do--except with the computer. 
You don't have to sign up for the chat, just be on the Amish Living site at 7pm. In the bottom right hand corner is the chat room. Click on that--we'll all be there!

September is also Thyroid Cancer Awareness month. I'm still undergoing cancer treatment and am in a holding pattern right now. Throughout the month I'll be posting facts about thyroid disease and cancer on my facebook page, Amish Living, and here on Amish Hearts. What does thyroid cancer have to do with the Amish? Unfortunately cancer doesn't discriminate. It affects all of us in one way or another. We are so fortunate to have the Lord's strength, comfort, and mercy in our lives--all three given freely!

I will definitely be there!! Missed it last year as I was in PA. But we are going a week later this Sept. Can hardly wait, have not done a chat on Amish Hearts before, sounds like fun. Cancer has hit our family many times, right now , in fact , my sister in law has breast cancer and a few years ago, my other sister in law had thyroid cancer, so any info you have will be very meaningful to us. Can hardly wait for the fun to begin!!

I had no idea that you were going through this Kathleen, I'm very sorry about that. You look like a fighter to me and this terrible disease has effected everyone in some way including myself many times. I think that its wonderful to bring attention to this by having a chat on Amish living, and i wish you the best on that and will try to make that chat myself at 7pm. Richard
